A Showcase of Excellence
The Halton Business Awards Gala Dinner, 2019 once again brought organisations from across the borough together to celebrate organisational success and exceptional business performance. This annual event showcased organisations located in Widnes and Runcorn recognising outstanding business acumen, specialist expertise and the organisational excellence.
Runcorn firm Sandon Global has scooped the top Business of the Year prize at the 2019 Halton Chamber Business Awards held at a glittering dinner in Halton Stadium on Friday 15 November.
The innovative manufacturer of specialist equipment to the global printing industry is based in Manor Park and was one of more than 400 companies and individuals who attended the celebratory evening organised by Halton Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise.
Widnes Vikings were presented with a special award for ‘Investing in Halton’s Future’ and ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ was won by Terri Kearney from Nightstop. Hardman Office & Commercial Cleaning took top prize for ‘Outstanding Customer Service’; ‘Social Enterprise of the Year’ was the Stick ‘n’ Step charity and new Business of the Year was Octave Design Services.
Val Allen, chair of Halton Chamber of Commerce, said: “This year’s business awards have been the biggest and best yet in Halton. We attracted a record number of entries and tickets for the event sold out weeks in advance.”
