Family Business of the Year 2026

This award is open to any family-owned business in any sector and of any size, including B2B and B2C organisations, which is owned by two or more family members with the family holding majority control or ownership. At least one representative of the family must be involved in the management or administration of the firm.

This award will go to a business which has demonstrated a wide range of excellence in business operations including some or all of the following:

• Performance against business objectives
• Investment and/or job creation
• Strong business values
• Commercial success – increased sales/growth and adaptability
• Innovation and staff development/training
• Environmental awareness and a commitment to the community
• Providing work experience or job opportunities for local people
• Success in overcoming challenges
• Strong business plans underpinned by strong financial performance
• Staff involvement and motivation
• A clear plan for future of the organisation
